Parang Beach Resort has numerous exclusive features such as having the only seaside restaurant in all of Calapan City (Beachside Restaurant). Although it is open to the public, the restaurant's priority is to provide excellent food for guests staying in the resort at reasonable rates. Our Function Hall is large, modern, and versatile, capable of handling a variety of events from seminars, wedding/baptism, receptions and parties up to 100 people. The Function Hall is also located right on the beach, adding to the ambiance of any special occasion. Management has taken great strides to ensure that the quality of the rooms and cottages meet the three basic "C's" of any accommodation: clean, comfortable and cost-effective, making it your home away from home. All of the cottages are made of local products such as bamboo and rattan that provide a unique local flavor to your stay. 2. How do the facilities in Parang Beach Resort compare to other resorts in Calapan City? Parang Beach Resort is the most complete resort in Calapan City providing four key facilities mandatory in any top-end resort: Accomodation, Restaurant, Function Hall, and Beach. Other resorts in Calapan may be able to provide one or two of these facilities and in rare cases, three but Parang Beach Resort is the only one that can provide all four facilities making it a one stop destination for all your vacation and special occasion needs. 3. How do the room rates in Parang Beach Resort compare to other resorts in Calapan City? Parang Beach Resort is in the middle to high-end range of resort room rates in Calapan City. Part of the reason is that we rent cottages not just rooms, with their own private balcony, a few steps away from the beach. When comparing room rates between resorts, it is important that all aspects of the resort are considered to ensure that you are getting value for your money. Lowest rate is not necessarily the best price if you have to compromise comfort, cleanliness and privacy. As a boutique resort, our objective is to maintain the personalized service and privacy of each of our guests when they stay in our resort. We limit the number of guests that we accommodate to ensure that each of our guest's privacy is strictly observed and their needs and expectations exceeded. 4. What about security in the resort? Other than the beachfront entrance, the resort is fenced with the main gates closed at 10:00pm every night. There are also live-in maintenance people that consistently check the grounds of the whole resort. The Philippine National Police Provincial Headquarters is also only 2 kilometers away.
We recommend to book the cottages/rooms as early as possible especially during High Season (see Rates). We cannot guarantee availability for any walk-in bookings during High Season. Weekends are very popular for the use of the Function Hall so please book in advance. 6. Do I need to make a deposit to book the cottages/rooms or the Function Hall? During High Season, we require a credit card number when making cottage/room reservations and a 20% deposit for the rental of the Function Hall. 7. What is the menu like in the Beach Restaurant? The Beachside Restaurant specializes in chicken dishes and has the most variety of chicken dishes in any resort restaurant, both with local and international recipes. We also serve a limited menu of pork, beef and seafood dishes mostly grilled or barbecued, ideal for beachside meals. 8. Do you have any fitness facilities? If swimming, tennis, badminton, basketball, running, hiking and biking at the resort are not enough, there is a fully equipped fitness gym within 5 kilometers of the resort that accepts daily drop-in. The gym includes an aerobic studio, free weights and Nautilus equipment. 9. How late can we use the Function hall? Normal times of the Function hall are from 9am-5pm with provisions up to 12 midnight for special events. 10. What time are check-in and checkout times in the rooms and cottages? Check-in time is usually after 12noon and checkout time is before 12 noon. 11. Can your facilities accommodate large groups (more than 10 people)? Our Function Hall can accommodate any size of parties up to 100 people while our resort accommodations and Beachside Restaurant can accommodate up to 150 people. Advance reservation is recommended, especially for the Beachside Restaurant to ensure that all your culinary needs are prepared for in advance.
